A stormy day!

A downright stormy day in the bay today! Uncharacteristic to the sunny and warm days we have been having, it has been blowing hard with sideways rain for the better part of the day. I actually like stormy weather, unless I have to bike to class in it. By the time my pants dried out in Antitrust, I had to bike home and get them wet again. The weather pattern is supposed to stay active around here with some unusually cold weather moving in by the end of the week with possibly snow showers not too high up the hills.

Con law today in the morning was good. The professor blind-sided me with a cold call (again), but I am no longer phased by not being able to think instantaneously on my feet. I came up with an ok answer (I would have done much better if I was actually allowed to think for like 10 seconds, but the awkward silence would make it worse 🙂 Also, I contributed later in class, so I carried my weight.

The workout at Arrillaga today was another good one, rounding out six straight days of weightlifting. I am feeling strong in there right now. I followed up the strength work with 5 minutes on the treadmill waiting for an EFX and then 32 minutes on the EFX. Tomorrow, I plan on only doing some cardio.

When I came home after the workout, there was a great message on the cell. It turns out, the one firm (Perkins Coie) that hasn’t rejected me yet gave me a callback for more interviews. I am still in the game folks! I am excited to even get to this point in the process. It tells me that I may have some interviewing skills after all. I don’t know when I am interviewing yet, but sometime this week. At the very least, this will give me more experiene, and who knows, I *might* land the job (no lofty expectations).

I later gave a check without signing it, so that brought me back down to reality 🙂

The argument section for my appellate brief is almost done for the time being, just a little bit more analysis I want to add which should only take a couple hours this evening.
