does anyone know how many miles it is, starting from Escondido campground all the way to the arroyo seco gorge, I did this hike the other day but ended up turning around once it started getting late

so happy to come across this blog, as I’m always on the hunt to find incredible glacier lakes in the Sierras! I feel like I’ve visited all of the turquoise ones I can find online and have hit a road block on finding news ones. I understand if you don’t want to share some of the names of these lakes, but would you be able to share HOW to find more? I’ve thoroughly searched blogs as well as AllTrails, so I’m curious what else I can do to find more glacier lake hikes. Recs welcome!

Thank you for all the great beta and inspiration for the Trinity Alps. I just made it out there for the first time and was blown away.

The traverse from Canyon Creek up to L, Sawtooth and Smith Lake was some of the most scenic backcountry I’ve experienced.

I’m looking forward to making my way through your trip reports and checking out more beautiful places. Enjoy the summer!

Nice trip report with pictures. It would be nice if the pictures had explanations beneath each one so one can get a better idea what you are talking about. I want to do Grizzly Lake for the second time and summit Caesar Peak from Grizzly Lake.
