Huddart Park Run

Another awesome run in the foothills today – this time at Huddart County Park. I ran a great loop from the main parking area up to Skyline Blvd. and back down. The loop was basically the Crystal Springs Trail up to Skyline and the Chinquapin/Dean Trails down. I added some more running on the lower trails for a total of 73 minutes of running (I’d estimate about 10.5 miles of running). I felt great on the soft trails running through the sections of redwood and deciduous forest. I especially liked running through a patch of beautiful madrona trees near the top. Total elevation gain was close to 2,000 feet.
