I am on a not-so-good streak as of late. Rejected from Wilson, rejected from Microsoft, rejected from Orrick, feeling a bit sick, rejected, rejected, did I mention getting rejected?? I am a tiny bit disappointed, especially with Microsoft, but screw it, life is too short to be upset about it. I’m feeling too good about myself and life in general right now to let them ruin my party. I can only keep my head up and keep trying – refocus and double my efforts. One day, somebody is going to give me a chance and I will make them happy they did. Oh yea, one thing just for Microsoft: I am switching my old Dell laptop to an Apple (I was going to anyway, trust me)!
Right now I am looking into public interest law opportunities, but I am only willing to do that in the Seattle area. Unfortunately, the options in Seattle are limited at best. This summer may end up being an REI/mountain climbing bonanza! If you want to climb some mountains in the North Cascades, hit me up, I’ll be down.
Despite feeling a bit sick, I still worked out at the gym today. The bench went crappy, I couldn’t even do 10 reps of 150 pounds. The rest of the workout was ok and then I ran on the treadmill for an easy 5.2 miles in 36 minutes. Also, despite being sick, I am itching to go the gym and workout. I guess that is a good sign showing that my head is still in the game.
Right now I am listening to Shooter Jennings “4th of July”, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw “Like We Never Loved At All”, Billy Currington “I Got A Feelin'”, and a classic, “She Stopped Loving Me Today” by George Jones.
I am ready to bounce back in a big way!
