Huddart/Phleger Water Show

After a very dry start to the winter, a powerful storm system delivered over 6 inches of rain to Kings Mountain and over 4 inches to Woodside in a span of 30 hours. This rain resulted in super high water volumes in the streams flowing through Huddart County Park and Phleger Estate, including McGarvey Gulch Creek, West Union Creek, and Squealer Gulch. Moreover, new streams were flowing everywhere, including on the trails. The conditions made for awesome photography opportunities, and I was able to maximize it during a short sunny break. West Union Creek had a few puddles of standing water a few days ago; now it's a swift and deep stream.

  1. beautiful pictures. I think you guys got a little more rain than we did, but there are still plenty of previously ‘hidden’ streams over on the East Bay as well.
