Another sweet trail run at El Corte de Madera Creek Open Space Preserve. I basically did the same loop as last time except I added the Steam Donkey Trail, which is a steep section of trail near the end of the run. It was a good challenge and I enjoyed the new section of trail. The run was 78 minutes long and I felt pretty good throughout, especially now that I know where all the major hills are along the run.
I saw five deer over the course of the run. One deer was prancing across the gully as I ran for a half a mile. It was moving so effortlessly – I am envious of the ability of deer to jump through terrain like its nothing!
