This weekend has gone by really fast. Friday night was fun chilling with friends till late a night. Saturday I woke up and hit the gym for back weightlifting and 45 quality minutes on the EFX machine.
Afterwards I met up with a friend for jamba juice. I have not had a smoothie in quite some time and I tried one of their new “enlightened” smoothies and it tasted pretty good. I don’t know where the afternoon went, but I didn’t do any work whatsoever.
At 7 pm I went to the SPILF auction at the law school. There was lots of food there and people were having a good time. The auction was really fun to watch and intense at times. It’s amazing how high some people went! I guess the alcohol helps with that 🙂 At the silent auction, I donated personal training services and I heard the wife of a professor one two of the three packages, so that will be interesting. When I got back home, I actually did some work and, in fact, I was pretty efficient.
This morning I did some work and then hit the gym for the bench and other chest weightlifting. I did the normal 10 reps of 150 pounds and then was tired and only did 5 of 155. I think I need to stop the cardio to move higher from here, but I am really happy with how the plan is coming along, so I don’t really see a need to get higher and higher on the bench. I also hit the treadmill for 5.25 miles in 36 minutes to round out the workout.
I met with Mark at 2:30 and we watched the final 5 minutes of a great NBA game between Phoenix and Dallas. Steve Nash came through big time and the Suns took it. We then had to put our Appellate brief together and we had to go to the law library because wireless is screwed up in the building. We got a lot done and I am happy with how our draft is looking. We make a pretty good duo. Now all I have to do is edit my argument section this evening and the appellate brief will be done for now. We turn it in tomorrow morning. I also need to do some Antitrust and Con Law reading tonight.
Spring break is less than three weeks away. It will be nice to chill at home and hit the ski slopes.
