Today felt more like Seattle; it rained (sometimes hard), it was windy, and it was kinda cold. I am well accustomed to Seattle weather, but I have come to expect sunny and warm days in Cali! I have full faith the weather will rebound later this week, just in time for when I go back to the Seattle rain for spring break.
I have decided that Trader Joe’s is the greatest grocery store by far. I have no idea how they keep great tasting food so cheap. You never have to wait for sales, the prices are steady, and they carry most staples. It is definitely not a one-stop shopping destination, but there are so many great products from all around the world. Some people laud the “two buck chuck” but the real goodness is the other reasonably priced wines that Trader Joe’s offers. I was giving Whole Foods a chance, but they have recently raised their prices even more. They definitely cater to wealthy people. With the Whole Foods philosophy, you have to be privileged to afford “healthier” organic food – I am not quite down with that.
Back and leg weights at Arrillaga today. I wasn’t able to make it at my usual lunch-hour timeframe so I had to deal with some crowds this evening. Fortunately, it peaked early on and by the end there was some breathing space. A good workout, tomorrow I will only do a little cardio and let the body rest from the weights.
