Another great find today for trail running – the Portola Valley Ranch! I ran for 74 minutes (~11 miles) on some sweet single track in oak forests and grasslands. It’s quite hilly, but I’m not complaining! The Toyon Trail was especially fun with its super narrow windy sections along the cliffside above Corte Madera Creek. My other favorites were the Arroyo Trail and the Sunrise Trail.
The Portola Valley Ranch is definitely the traditional windy single track trails while I hear the neighborhoods north of Alpine Road have cinder pathways similar to Los Altos Hills that I must check out soon! Also, there is the Windy Hill Opan Space Preserve nearby with trails heading up to Skyline Blvd. I can’t believe I have not explored all these fantastic trails that are only 10 minutes from my apartment!
