One of my favorite activities when I was young in elementary school was building gingerbread houses. I really looked forward to it and it always brought smiles. I can’t remember exactly, but I think 3rd grade was the last house I built, and that’s too bad.
Little kids are building gingerbread houses around the country this week (I hope), and I can’t help but think that I’d still have a lot of fun playing with graham crackers and candy (and eating it in the process). Speaking of eating, I also loved to eat the gingerbread man cookies!! Ahhhh, it was a simpler life back then…
