Jello

Last night was quite fun. The party wasn’t remarkable in any particular way, but it featured lots of jello and lots of dancing, so it’s tough to go wrong. The after party went for awhile and I went to bed too late.

I wanted to sleep till noon, but the sun shining through my blinds woke me up at like 8:30 am. The net effect is not enough sleep. Nonetheless, I hit the gym and actually felt better the more I got into the workout. I didn’t even try the 150 pounds and 10 reps on the bench, but I did do 145 for 10 reps followed by 14 reps of 135 pounds (endurance benching). Cable cross-overs, my personal favorite, were fun as usual. I start with high cross-overs, then middle, and then lower to work all aspects of the pectoralis muscles. My hands fully “cross over” to maximize the work on the muscles. I alternate which hand crosses over the other and I stagger my feet to give balance. The lower ones give me the best feeling. After the weights, I ran on the treadmill for 36 minutes for the “usual” 5.25 miles.

After the workout, it looked like it would rain, but fortunately it cleared up allowing for a walk to Starbucks to pick up some tea. People were really camped out in there – not one empty table, and we were forced to walk back. Walking and talking was fun though.

Now it’s time for some quality reading. I think I am also going to get this substantive edit for the journal out of the way too.
