One exam down, three to go. I thought I did well, I came out of the test with no critical regrets or realizations of things I forgot. I did my best and that’s all I can ask of myself.
I did shoot myself in the foot a little in one regard. In a stroke of utter stupidity, I somehow thought the exam started at 9:30 am instead of 9 am this morning. I show up at 9 am to the courtyard and start eating breakfast that this firm has provided for free. I am enjoying the food and such and wondering where everyone else is – THEY WERE ALREADY TAKING THE EXAM!! At 9:15 I decide to go set up to find everyone typing away and concentrating at the exam. I ran down to the registrar and picked up my exam, starting 20 minutes late. I was definitely flustered for the beginning and may have not been thinking coherently, but I eased in to the test and the late factor spurred me to think fast. I still managed to finish the exam. I could have used the 20 minutes, but it probably would have thinking of things to put instead of writing things I have already thought. It was definitely an idiotic mistake I will not repeat, but I think the damage was minimal. Like I said, I tried my best in the time I left myself and I think I did a good job bringing up multiple points and analyzing them.
Now time to forget about con law and enjoy the afternoon. It’s my birthday, but it doesn’t really feel like it. I’m going to do some exercise and hang out with Talli and David which should be fun. Next, I will need to start studying for antitrust and property exams, on the 18th and 19th respectively.
I hear the weather is supposed to be really nice in Seattle, I could be climbing a mountain or two right now. Oh well, soon enough…
