Yesterday I ran the half marathon race at the North Face Endurance Challenge in the Marin Headlands. I won the race in 1:39.14 and I felt pretty good. The course entailed three monster hills with elevation gain of around 2,700 feet. The hills definitely worked my leg muscles, especially my quads and butt, which remain super sore today. The weather was good for running with sunny skies and temps in the upper 40s. The views to San Francisco and the Bay Area were fantastic. However, a stiff breeze kept it chilly in spots, particularly the finish area were I got cold soon after finishing. I got some nice North Face gear and a Microsoft Zune mp3 player as an award. Overall, it was another great trail race!
Doesn’t seeing your friend from Seattle even get a footnote?:) Just kidding, it was great to see you at the race and congradulations!
