Aside from some reading, surfing the web, and just plain sitting around, I ran the Dish loop and went to Arrillaga gym for a little weights.
The weather was idyllic for a dish run and I enjoyed it. The ascent of the hills are getting much easier now that I am running it consistently (physically easier) and I know what to expect (mentally easier). If I really want to push it, I suppose I could start doing two dish loops. I may do this eventually, but for now I am probably going to stay with one. Remember, the goal for me is to run it routinely so I want to make it as enjoyable as possible. The Dish this time was about 21:40 gate to gate within a 46 minute run. I know I have a tendency to want to do it faster every time, but that has not been a good strategy in the past. One of these days, I am going to intentionally hold back because easier paced runs are important too.
After the run, I went over to Arrillaga and did some shoulder weights and a little abs. I was pretty tired so I just threw relatively light weight around. Tomorrow I would like to do bench at Arrillaga, but we’ll see how I feel…
