Uncle to be

Yep, I am going to be an uncle very soon! My sister Karen is due with her first child on August 14th, but she could give birth any day now! This a happy and anxious time for my family. Every day, I get calls from relatives asking if she has given birth? If she is in labor? How she feels? This will be the first great-grandchild for my grandfather so he is looking forward to the occasion. My sister decided to keep the gender of the baby a secret (even from herself), so whether it will be a boy or a girl is on everyone’s mind. At least she already has a girl and a boy name prepared 🙂 . I am excited for my sister too!

Not much new today. I had a great workout at the gym working on back muscles and I walked Pepe in idyllic conditions this evening. It’s supposed to be cool the rest of the week so probably no more cut-off t-shirt walking at sunset for the week. I hope the weather improves because I am now itching to do a couple more hikes or scrambles before returning to Stanford for my second year in law school.
