Weekend

I am tired after a 5-day work week. I know, I'm going to be working 5-day work weeks almost every week as a lawyer, but it's still rough! I didn't feel like to doing anything this afternoon. Other than a nice long walk with my mom and dog, I ended up resting and watching tv all evening.

I have some sad news to report. We will not be upgrading from 56k internet connection this summer. After being on the cusp of high speed access (I had finally convinced my mom), I found out our archaic computer from the mid-90s has neither an ethernet plug nor a USB port. Therefore, there is no way we can get DSL or cable until we purchase a new computer. Unfortunately, this means that my internet capabilities are limited.

The weather here continues to be wishy washy in the lowlands with temps in the 60's and quite a bit of cloudiness. All of this translates into cloudy and wet in the mountains, so no big climbs this weekend 😦 At this point, I am really itching to get out and use some energy in the mountains, but I realize that June is not the month to expect warm, sunny dry spells in Western Washington. Maybe I'll just kill my legs on a local mountain like I did on Mount Si last weekend. By the way, the range of motion in my quads has returned to some measure of normalcy; it took five days, but I am sure that next time it won't be so bad.

I read some reviews for Al Gore's movie about global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth," and the consensus was that it was a great documentary (over 80% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes). Therefore, I may take a jaunt down to Redmond in the early afternoon tomorrow to watch it. I will also hit the gym and stop by Trader Joe's during the day tomorrow.
