Bean Hollow State Beach is one of the many great beaches along the San Mateo coast. It is located 17.5 miles south of Half Moon Bay and 3 miles south of Pescadero, which is home of the famous piping hot garlic artichoke bread at Arcangeli Grocery Co. (so delicious!). Aptly named, the beach is small sandy hollow in an otherwise rocky stretch of coastline. The beach is relatively small with limited parking. It’s also a great spot for tidepooling in low tides.
