With the great weather continuing into Sunday, Serena and I drove to Point Reyes for some trail running and sightseeing. For the trail run, we decided to do the Bear Valley Trail to Arch Rock. This is perhaps the most popular hike in the park with relatively little elevation on a wide and pleasant pathway in under a canopy of deciduous and Douglas fir forest. Total distance from the Bear Valley Visitor Center to the tip of Arch Rock is 4.3 miles – 8.6 miles for a round trip out-and-back.
A slight breeze allowed for optimal temperatures and the clarity from Arch Rock was fantastic.
