Ventana Cone to Pine Ridge did not burn so there will still be some brush on the route. Did you get a special permit to go into the burn scar?

If you head out there again, you will find the challenging brush has been eradicated. When viewing with powerful binoculars it appeared that all brush was burned off with the exception of the last section between the “ventana spires” and the VDC summit.
